On Monday, Gary spoke about Faith: Faith based in tradition versus Faith that is ours. He said that faith based in tradition is more like belief. We believe something is possible. While faith that has become ours and no longer the faith of the person who taught us the gospel is indeed faith.
Gary gave a great example. I wish I could remember who he said he first heard it from, but it went a little something like this:
Belief is believing it is possible for some one to push a wheelbarrow across Niagara Falls while walking a tightrope. But faith is getting in the wheelbarrow.
How many times do we forget to get into the wheelbarrow? Do we just sit back believing it's possible or do we truly have faith?
Get in the wheelbarrow!
